Fools diminish our ability to discern truth from error, yet we expose our folly bound up in the hearts of children. It always rains & it never pours.

Fools are harmless w/ good intentions. We evoke pity via amusement. Cast not your pearls before swine.

Proverbs 11: Wisdom rests in the heart of the discerning; among fools she lets herself be known. Kiss a fool but don’t be fooled by a kiss. With humility comes prudence safeguarding you from suffering. This path leads upward to keep us from going down to the grave.

Proverbs 12: Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly. Proverbs 13: A mocker neglects rebuke, allowing their enemies to be at, & live in, peace.

Proverbs 14: A nation crumbles under a lack of guidance while fools serve the bourgeoisie. We detest turning from evil. 14: 9 Fools mock at making amends for sin. You will not trace guilt on their lips.

Proverbs 17: 24 A fool’s eyes wander to the end of Earth. 17: 25 A fool brings grief & bitterness to those who bore him.

Proverbs 18: 6 A fool’s lips bring strife & mouth invites a beating. 18:7 A fool’s mouth is their undoing & their lips a snare to their heart.

Proverbs 25: 6 Like cutting off one’s feet or drinking violence is the sending of a message by the hand of a fool. 25: 7 Like a thorn bush in a drunkard’s hand or an archer who wounds at random. As a dog returns to its vomit are words in the mouth of a fool.

Proverbs 27: 17 As iron sharpens iron so one mocker sharpens another. 27: 22 Grind a fool in a mortar – as grain with a pestle – you cannot subtract their folly.

Proverbs 29: 8 Mockers stir up a city in the face of anger. Proverbs 30:4 Who flies to heaven & back down? Who gathers the wind in the hollow of your hands?
